Cleveland Villa, a specialist 24-hour residential care home in Stockton, has now been rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its latest inspection.
Cleveland Villa, operated by Milewood, is a residential care home for one individual with learning disabilities and complex needs. It has 24-hour staffing to support the resident in all areas of their life to develop daily living skills and live as independently as possible.
Cleveland Villa was rated Good in all inspected categories: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
The report stated: “We found people living at Cleveland Villa were treated with compassion, and their dignity was consistently upheld. Respectful and safe support was observed in communal areas. People’s support plans were personalised and reflected how they chose to spend their time, including their individual wishes, preferences, and choices.”
It also noted: “People and their relatives were actively involved in assessing their needs. Staff took account of communication preferences to ensure meaningful engagement with people at all times.”
