✨ Co‑production in action – and what a day it was ✨This week we saw co‑production at its absolute best.The meeting was planned superbly, with over 40 people we support coming together to share ideas, challenge thinking, and shape what really matters to them. Huge credit to Farah Hutchinson and Tina Kelly, whose collaboration and commitment made the day such a success.The ideas and conversations were thoughtful, creative and ambitious, including:✅ Getting to know each other better – staff and people we support✅ Spending more time with people outside of the service we live at✅ Creating a rockery in the garden✅ Going on holidays with people from other services✅ Setting up a drama group✅ Starting a fishing club to relax, unwind and stay calm✅ Creating a games room in the basement and inviting friends from other services to use it✅ Exploring the idea of a Co‑production café, supporting skill‑building and job opportunities✅ Open and honest debates around whether staff should wear a uniformA real highlight was the nomination of two new Co‑production Champions for Region E, showing exactly how people are stepping forward to lead and influence change.As Sam Hunt, Region E Manager, put it:“One of the best days I’ve had in Milewood so far — it will take some topping!”
