Dan Blackith, head of People and Culture at Milewood, has won the prestigious ‘Head of People’ category at this year’s Social Care Stars awards.

Since joining Milewood earlier this year, Dan has made a remarkable impact on both staff and the people it supports. As a dedicated People and Culture specialist, Dan is known for his approachable nature and unwavering availability to his colleagues. One of his notable achievements is the introduction of a comprehensive well-being package that places a strong emphasis on mental health. This initiative has been met with great enthusiasm and has been widely utilised by the staff.
In addition to this, Dan has undertaken extensive cultural reviews and has engaged directly with staff to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met. His tireless efforts have not only improved the working environment but have also significantly enhanced the overall quality of care and support provided by Milewood.
