Staff and Residents from Milewood’s Norton Homes Participate in Colour Run for Alice House Hospice

In a spirited display of community involvement and support, a group of staff and residents from Milewood’s Norton Scheme homes, including Glenthorne Court, Cleveland Avenue, and Beechwood House, recently took part in the Colour Run to raise funds for Alice House Hospice in Hartlepool.

This vibrant event, known for its colourful atmosphere, saw around a dozen participants from the homes, which are dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, join in the fun.

The Colour Run, held annually, is a significant event in the local calendar, drawing participants from across the region to support the vital services provided by Alice House Hospice. The hospice offers essential care and support for patients and their families, making this fundraising effort a meaningful and impactful cause for the community.

Ged Devine, Manager of Milewood’s Norton Scheme homes, expressed his pride in the participants, saying: “We are delighted to see our staff and residents take part in such a joyful and worthwhile event.
