“Creating Calm: The Sensory Room Revolution at Rowan House”

I’m excited to share with you the progress of the sensory room currently being developed at Rowan House. The images give a glimpse into the space, which has already started making a positive impact.

A Safe Space for Sensory Needs

Archie, one of our residents, has shown a remarkable reduction in behaviors of concern since the introduction of this sensory room. It has become a sanctuary where he can safely meet his sensory needs, providing a calm and comforting environment tailored to his unique requirements.

Progress and Potential

The sensory room is still a work in progress, with plans to add a wall of different textures and other sensory elements to further enhance the experience. Our goal is to create a space that not only supports Archie but can be adapted for others who might benefit from such an environment. We are committed to ensuring that this room becomes a versatile and inclusive resource for all who need it.
