We are proud that two of our colleagues have been named finalists in the Social Care Leadership Awards 2025.
Gemma Marston, clinical deputy at Whitwell Park, has been shortlisted in the Clinical Nurse Manager category. With more than 20 years’ experience in social care, Gemma has dedicated her career to supporting people with complex needs and empowering teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Since joining Milewood just over two years ago, she has played a key role in maintaining quality standards, developing colleagues and enhancing outcomes for the people supported at Whitwell Park.
Terri Shaw, registered manager at Oakwood Bungalows, has been named a finalist in the Executive Learning Disabilities & Autism Leader category. Terri has been part of Milewood for ten years and is recognised for her leadership, commitment and person-centred approach to supporting both colleagues and residents.
Gemma said: “I am truly honoured to have been named as a finalist. Working in social care is not just a career for me, it is a passion. I feel privileged to work alongside such a dedicated team at Whitwell Park and to support the individuals we care for to live fulfilling lives.”
Terri added: “This recognition was very unexpected, but I am delighted. It really belongs to the whole team at Oakwood Bungalows, whose dedication makes everything we do possible. The individuals we support are the reason we do this every day, and I can’t wait to share the news with them.”
The winners of The Social Care Leadership Awards 2025 will be announced later this year at a ceremony celebrating the sector’s most inspiring leaders.
