Sonia Coates, care home manager at Strathallen, has been presented with the highly respected Chairman’s Award at the second annual Milewood Awards, recognising her exceptional leadership, and long-standing commitment to delivering outstanding care.
Sonia is known for her compassionate approach and ability to inspire confidence in both her team and the people she supports. Her leadership has strengthened the service, creating a warm, stable, and person?centred environment where residents feel safe and valued.
Strathallen provides high-quality residential support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The service focuses on promoting independence, building meaningful skills, and supporting residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. Strathallen is operated by Milewood Healthcare Ltd, a national provider of specialist living services for adults with disabilities across England.
Reflecting on her award, Sonia said: “Receiving the Chairman’s Award is a huge honour. Strathallen is a very special place, and I feel privileged to work with such dedicated and caring people who always put our residents first.
