Harlington House is a multi-home site in Fulford on the brink of York City Centre with direct routes both to local and regional areas of interest in and around North Yorkshire.
Harlington House
Harlington consists of two large buildings that can support up to 16 residents at any one time. The main building provides an array of different styles of living environments demonstrating a set-up to support individuals with their own specific needs. In this building, all units compromise of an en-suite foundation with an integrated kitchenette dining area to create an independent style of living for all. This updated building continues to resemble its historic traits with tall style ceilings creating a spacious design throughout for all.
Harlington Lodge
The newly built Lodge is composed of 6 specifically designed rooms to support individuals with higher levels of care needs including wet rooms and access to direct support from quality trained staff. All rooms are personalised to each individual’s own preferences to ensure that Harlington feels like home.

About Harlington House
Harlington’s team strives to ensure we are a pro-choice home advocating for person-centred excellence for all.
The home consists of a Manager, Deputy Manager, 2 x Senior Support staff, and a wide team that helps to pull together and provide a safe and responsive environment to live in. Our team specialises in the development of communication skills supporting and promoting everyone, verbal and non-verbal, to become involved in dictating the management and standards of the level of care provided.
A free-flowing communication ethos allows our residents to depict the activities put forth dependent on their hobbies, ranging from but not limited to developing internet safety skills to craft sewing sessions to trips to local sights of interest – such as Brimham Rocks.
Harlington House is a residential care property that accommodates individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. The home has 24hr staffing that support the residents in all areas of their life and who aim to support them to develop their daily living skills.

This service is currently rated Requires Improvement by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This rating relates to an inspection done on the 2 December 2022
A Requires Improvement rating does not mean that people are unsafe or that care is not being delivered. It highlights areas where the CQC has identified opportunities for further development.
Since the inspection, we have worked closely with our internal quality team on a service improvement plan which focussed on the areas raised in the inspection and was overseen by senior leaders. We carry our regular audits which ensure continued compliance and best practice.
We remain fully compliant with CQC regulations and are committed to continuous improvement. Our priority is, and always will be, to provide safe, person centred care that supports people to live happy, independent, and fulfilling lives.
