Our Five Core Principals
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) defines safeguarding as the protection of people’s well-being, health and human rights, allowing them to live safely without neglect, harm or abuse.
To achieve this, Milewood Group has five core principals that help us interact with those in our care.
It is our duty to protect all individuals, tenants, service users and staff from harm and abuse.
It is our duty to ensure that all individuals receive the best positive outcomes and that this is recorded effectively.
It is our duty to ensure that we support service users and tenants with dignity, respect and empathy.
It is our duty to ensure that all our homes and flats are more than capable of meeting the client’s needs.
It is our duty to ensure that directors and managers employ the best possible applicants so that we promote the best possible support practices, care plans, training and culture for autonomy.
Care and support
We are committed to providing the best possible care and support for our tenants and service users, to help build their confidence and independence.

Well-Led
It is our duty to protect all individuals, tenants, service users and staff from harm and abuse.
Families and loved ones can help by being involved with the person in care, raising any problems immediately and noticing any changes in the resident’s behaviour, manner, appearance or physical well-being that seem untoward, and reporting them.
We all want care home residents to live happy lives, and these principals will help to ensure that outcome.
